Overview:

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. (H&M's) Chantilly office specializes in low voltage cabling to support enterprise, data centers, government, and medical facilities. We design and install multiple technologies and work throughout the Baltimore & Washington DC Metro areas. H&M is seeking several energetic, career minded individuals to join our team working out of our Chantilly, Virginia office.
While working under the direction of a team lead or foreman, the ideal candidate for the Installer Trainee position will possess a willingness to learn cable and hardware installation, termination, and promote a safe working environment.


Responsibilities:
Assist with installation activities including rack, stack, cable tray, conduit, hangers, labeling, trouble-shooting and testing. Embrace H&M's safety culture by following safe work practices and policies. Willingness to learn how to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets. Assist with basic job site organization and housekeeping. Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to exhibit a positive attitude and be a team player. Ability to meet deadlines, listen and follow instructions. Must be able to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to climb ladders and perform the necessary tasks while on the ladder. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry 25 lbs. Industry-related courses such as networking, telecommunications, etc., a plus. Occasional overtime and out of town travel may be required. Ability to travel to multiple locations in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia. No relocation provided, local candidates only.
