Santa Fe Auto Sound -- Kansas City's leader in high-end car audio and custom fabrication since 1967 -- is hiring a

Master-Level Fabricator / 12-Volt Technician

with

5+ years of professional experience

in advanced automotive customization.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to work on

high-end vehicles, custom classic cars, exotics, and full show-quality builds

in a modern, climate-controlled facility with top-tier equipment (CNC router, laser cutter, Fusion 360 CAD, DSP tuning gear, etc.).

Responsibilities

Perform advanced 12-volt installations for audio, security, and integration systems Design and fabricate custom enclosures, panels, brackets, and OEM-style integrations Create CAD models using

Fusion 360

for CNC router and laser-cut components Operate digital fabrication tools including

CNC router, laser cutter, 3D printer

Build high-level custom interiors and components for luxury, classic, and exotic vehicles Execute wiring, tuning, and system calibration for premium audio systems Collaborate with team to plan complex builds with high attention to detail Maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and tool upkeep

Required Experience & Skills

5+ years professional experience

in 12-volt installation and fabrication

Master-level fabrication skillset

(plastics, wood, metal, acrylic, ABS, structural mounts) Proficient with

CAD design

and

Fusion 360

Experienced in

CNC router and laser cutting

workflows Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems Ability to produce clean, structurally sound, show-quality work Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail Must supply own basic tools

Preferred

Upholstery experience: sewing, wrapping, foam shaping, custom interior panels DSP system setup and tuning Experience with luxury, exotic, or custom-restomod vehicles 3D scanning or 3D printing experience
