Nature & scope

The Inspection Manager is responsible for managing, performing, and overseeing all fire sprinkler and fire line backflow inspections across North Carolina and South Carolina. This role ensures full compliance with state regulations, upholds safety standards, and provides leadership to a team of inspectors. The ideal candidate is a licensed sprinkler inspection contractor in North Carolina and holds all required backflow inspection certifications.

Licensed Sprinkler Inspection Contractor in North Carolina

(required).

Certified Backflow Inspector

with all required state-approved credentials. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fire sprinkler system inspection, fire protection, or a related field. Supervisory or leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, state and local fire codes, and inspection protocols. Valid driver's license with the ability to travel regionally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspection Duties

Perform scheduled sprinkler system inspections, testing, and maintenance in accordance with NFPA standards and state/local codes. Conduct fire line backflow preventer inspections, testing, and certifications. Ensure accurate documentation of all inspections, deficiencies, and corrective actions. Provide customers with detailed inspection reports, recommendations, and code compliance guidance. Travel throughout North Carolina and South Carolina to complete inspection assignments.

Managerial & Leadership Duties

Oversee, guide, and support a team of inspectors within the company. Review and verify inspectors' reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Assist with training, onboarding, and professional development of inspection staff. Develop inspection schedules and coordinate workload distribution. Ensure company standards, safety procedures, and regulatory compliance are consistently met across all inspection activities.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Maintain current knowledge of NFPA codes, state regulations, and industry best practices. Ensure all inspections meet North Carolina and South Carolina licensing and compliance requirements. * Monitor quality assurance practices to ensure accurate, consistent, and compliant inspections.
