The Inside Sales role serves as the primary point of contact for all customer communications from initial inquiry through order completion. This position is responsible for preparing accurate sales quotations by coordinating with internal departments to gather the necessary information. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while ensuring clear, professional communication with customers and internal teams.
Position Summary
We are seeking a
self-motivated, detail-oriented Inside Sales professional
to manage customer communications and prepare accurate quotations for new and existing business. In this role, you will coordinate with internal departments to gather the information needed to develop quotes, present them to customers, and follow through on all subsequent communication. Upon receipt of customer purchase orders, you will enter orders, provide all necessary documentation, and assist with scheduling coordination.
This position is ideal for someone with a 2 - 5 years of internal sales, customer service, or manufacturing office experience who enjoys multitasking, problem-solving, and working closely with multiple departments. Ideal candidate should have ERP experience and the ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for customers from initial inquiry through order fulfillment.
Prepare accurate sales quotations by gathering required information from internal departments.
Ensure all quotes are complete, properly documented, and reviewed by the team prior to issuance.
Full contract review of all Customer purchase orders.
Enter orders into the ERP system
Provide timely updates to customers regarding quotes, order status, and schedules
Collaborate with engineering, planning, production, quality and other departments to ensure smooth job transitions.
Research and resolve customer questions or concerns, ensuring thorough follow-up.
Maintain all required documentation within the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
Participate in company committees (ISO, Safety, etc.) as assigned.
Recommend and support efficiency improvements across all processes and workflows.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; some post-secondary education preferred.
Two - five years of relevant experience in administrative support, business to business customer service, inside sales support, or manufacturing office work.
ERP experience preferred (JobBoss or Shoptech E2 a plus)
Highly motivated, efficient, and able to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision.
Excellent written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
Strong computer proficiency; MS Office, experience with Google Workspace a plus.
Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
Work Environment
Primarily fast paced open office-based with some exposure to the production floor.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
