Position Summary:
As a
Pre-Certification Coordinator - Infusion Services
, you will serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and payers. You'll help patients navigate their insurance benefits, coordinate prior authorizations, and ensure financial accuracy from start to finish. Your attention to detail and compassionate communication will help create a smooth, stress-free experience for every patient.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility for infusion services
Obtain prior authorizations for specialty medications and infusion treatments
Calculate and communicate patient financial responsibilities clearly and accurately
Coordinate with outside providers to ensure seamless infusion referrals
Review and manage payment records, maintaining accuracy in patient billing
Assist patients with copay assistance and financial support programs
Respond promptly to phone calls, voicemails, and EHR task requests
Collaborate closely with clinical and billing teams to streamline patient care
Deliver professional, compassionate service with a patient-first approach
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in medical insurance, benefits verification, or prior authorizations--preferably within infusion or specialty pharmacy
Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance policies
Familiarity with specialty pharmacy processes, PBMs, and infusion billing
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Typing speed of at least 50 WPM
Work Environment:
Fast-paced, clinical office setting
Frequent computer and data entry work
Ability to sit and perform administrative duties for extended periods
