Job Description

The infusion nurse will be responsible for administering intravenous medications to patients in a private practice medical setting. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills, exceptional patient care abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer intravenous medications, fluids, and blood products according to physician orders and nursing protocols.



Aid physicians during examinations and procedures.



Monitor patients during infusion therapy to assess vital signs, evaluate patient response, and manage any adverse reactions.



Monitoring, tracking, and assisting patients during their office visits.



Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, including infusion records, medication administration, and patient progress notes.



Updating patient charts and tracking paperwork using our EMR system.



Cleaning and preparing patient areas, equipment, and tools.



Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure treatment goals are met.



Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and healthcare staff.



Assist in the maintenance and organization of infusion supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

Current LPN license in the state of Georgia

Experience with EMR systems

Proficiency in administering IV medications and managing central venous access devices (CVADs).
