Outpatient Rheumatology seeking a dedicated and skilled Infusion Nurse to join our healthcare team on part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infusion therapy, with a strong experience in delivering high quality and compassionate care. Experience with infusion of biologic therapy is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
Administer intravenous medications and therapies to patients as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after infusion treatments.
Educate patients and their families about infusion procedures, potential side effects, and aftercare.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems
Collaborate with physician to develop individualized care plans for patients.
Conduct assessments of patients' health status and report any changes to the medical team.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures in all infusion procedures.
Requirements
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Strong infusion therapy background required; Candidates with ER, ICU, Oncology and Rheumatology infusion experience are encouraged to apply
Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
Proficiency in using electronic health records systems
Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
Athenahealth experience a plus
