Infusion/IV Technician

to join our clinical team. This role is essential in preparing patients for procedures and ensuring a seamless and safe experience.

Position Summary

The

Infusion/IV Technician

will be responsible for intravenous (IV) line placement and preparation of patients prior to outpatient procedures. This individual must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate patient and provider needs in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform IV insertions with precision and efficiency prior to procedures. Ability to perform intake assessments effectively while ensuring patient comfort. Demonstrate critical thinking and effective IV troubleshooting skills. Prepare and complete procedure notes prior to patient procedures. Verify correct procedure site, level, and side in accordance with safety protocols. Ensure that blood thinners have been appropriately held and that medical clearance documentation is on file. Assist with maintaining patient flow and ensuring timely readiness for procedures. Collaborate closely with providers and nursing staff to promote a safe and efficient procedural environment. Maintain accurate, legible documentation and uphold HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications:

Current IV certification or medical assistant/nursing credential with IV experience. Proven experience in IV placement in a clinical or outpatient setting. Strong understanding of sterile technique and patient safety procedures. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

Prior experience in pain management, interventional radiology, or outpatient procedure settings.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
