Infusion Biller - Full-Time



About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Infusion Biller to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have specialized knowledge in infusion therapy billing, medical coding, and revenue cycle management. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for infusion services.

Key Responsibilities:



Process and submit claims for infusion therapy services to insurance carriers and government payers Assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes for infusion procedures, medications, and supplies Review medical documentation to ensure proper coding and compliance with payer requirements Monitor claim status and work denials, rejections, and underpayments through resolution Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations for infusion services Post payments, reconcile accounts, and manage accounts receivable Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim inquiries and appeals Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure complete and accurate documentation Stay current on coding updates, payer policies, and compliance regulations specific to infusion therapy Generate reports on billing metrics, collection rates, and outstanding claims

Required Qualifications:



Minimum 2-3 years of experience in infusion billing and coding Strong knowledge of CPT, HCPCS (especially J-codes), and ICD-10 coding systems Proven experience with revenue cycle management processes Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing requirements Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Knowledge of buy-and-bill processes for infusion medications Experience with prior authorizations and appeals processes

Preferred Qualifications:



Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential Experience with specialty pharmacy coordination Familiarity with 340B program requirements (if applicable) Knowledge of compliance regulations including HIPAA and fraud/abuse laws
