Hiring Range $26.70 - $30.05 Hourly

About the Position:

The City of Grand Junction seeks a dynamic IT Support Specialist to enrich our dedicated technology team. This role requires a tech-savvy professional adept at providing top-tier technical support, creative problem-solving, and promoting cybersecurity measures across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and a customer-centric approach. They will also possess exceptional problem-solving skills, an understanding of cybersecurity principles, and a passion for technology.

Duties

What You\'ll Do:

  • Assist users of the City\'s various computing systems, networks, software, enterprise applications, and wired & wireless telecommunication devices.
  • Demonstrate exceptional technical capabilities by handling tasks such as equipment deployment, testing, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network components, computer systems, and device hardware & software.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service by responding effectively and promptly to user issues and inquiries.

Qualifications

What We\'re Looking For:
  • Two (2) years of increasingly responsible computer systems and applications support experience.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. supplemented by related specialized training in computer science or a related field.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
