Department of Water Resources (DWR) is looking for a strong leader, motivator, SAP and IT enthusiast, who is talented, focused, visionary and possess exceptional communication skills to join its SAP Center of Services team. This position is to fill the open position of Information Technology (IT) Supervisor II for SAP Logistics and HR Functional Analysis. The individual will have important responsibilities in SAP Functional and Technical areas and will help drive and support innovative solutions. DWR is one of the largest clients of SAP in California and is strongly committed to be adaptable, flexible in pursuit of innovation and best technological solutions for the state of California.

Desirable Qualifications


In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:



Exceptional written and verbal communication, leadership abilities to lead organizational unit to take on a client facing role. Extensive professional work experience in SAP, ERP, or other enterprise scale systems in a supervisory or technical lead capacity. Strong business analysis experience, functional analysis knowledge, backed by prior technical work experience. Knowledge of project management methodologies, project lifecycle, change management, standard IT process and procedures. Working knowledge of technical architecture and system environments. Creative thinker, excellent analytical skills, problem solving skills, negotiation skills and conflict resolution skills. Ability to effectively manage projects, prioritize task, manage team effectively and delegate work to the team members. Knowledge and understanding of best practices to manage IT technical team, works well with various business users and cross functional team members. Provide guidance, mentor, coach, train, share knowledge to build high performance team and build positive team environment.
