Under the administrative direction of the Chief, Enterprise Applications and Data Services (IT Manager II), the IT Specialist III serves as the lead information, data program, data governance, and compliance architect developing and implementing organizational data strategies and building data program systems and scaffolding required to transform and advance the departments data strategy. They deploy cutting edge advanced Data Warehouse Business Intelligence (DWBI), Machine Learning (ML) and data science solutions in direct support of the Research, Evaluation and Data Insights (REDI) Program and overall Departmental goals.

Working Conditions


This position reports to the Allenby Building in Sacramento. A hybrid Telework schedule, consistent with the State of California's in-office requirement, may be considered with prior approval from management. The incumbent may also be required to travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice. The State's Commute Programs provide bicycle, mass transit and vanpool incentives to eligible state employees. The State's mass transit incentive pays 100% of the transit pass up to the IRS maximum of $325 per month in 2025. DSH-Sacramento is located at an 11 floor high rise building
