Position Overview

SIMCO Electronics is seeking a junior to intermediate level IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and support for the organization\'s computer systems, hardware, and software. A person in the IT Support Specialist role will be the first line of support for any helpdesk tickets and will be responsible for tracking the issue to closure. This includes troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for both employees and clients, as well as maintaining and upgrading computer systems as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Provide technical support to 20 remote locations and remote employees, as well as assist employees and clients for all hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, printing, and email problems.
2. Install, configure, and maintain Windows based computer systems, including hardware and software upgrades, security updates, and virus protection.
3. Monitor computer systems and network performance to identify and resolve any issues that may arise.
4. Respond to help desk tickets and resolve technical issues within a timely manner.
5. Ensure regular backups of all company data and that the data is protected and recoverable.
6. Provide training and documentation for employees in the use of new software and technology.
7. Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and software licenses.
8. Administration of IP telephony (UCaSS) Zoom Phone web portal.
9. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and security standards.
10. Collaborate with other departments to identify and implement new technology solutions.
11. Updating IT documentation with policies and procedures.
