Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor I, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) is responsible for development and maintenance of CHP's Geographic Information systems (GIS) databases and required infrastructure support. The ITA will support all Communications Centers and applicable Areas and offices in developing/using GIS-based maps in support of the Computer Aided Dispatch and ancillary systems and law enforcement operations.

The ITA is responsible for analyzing, developing, and documenting business processes utilizing best practices and standard methodology. The ITA will coordinate with the Department's GIS Coordinators to ensure updates are reported and incorporated into the master datasets.

Working Conditions


Office environment, Monday through Friday 0800-1700 hours. Some travel may be required.

The position(s) require(s) a Background Investigation be cleared prior to being hired. Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to appointment.
