JOB
This is the first of two levels in the Information Technology - Application Support series. Incumbents perform professional level analysis and support of information systems. Responsibilities may include coordinating information system projects; troubleshooting user issues; providing training on computer systems and programs; upgrading software; installing new software modules; maintaining user security; and developing reports.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

Analyzes systems and user requirements; coordinates information system projects which includes implementing application modules, producing custom reports, and verifying the accuracy of reports with end users. Monitors, configures, and maintains equipment and systems in assigned area of responsibility; upgrades, installs, and tests new software. Troubleshoots and resolves computer software and equipment problems to include providing technical assistance, and evaluating and repairing systems; maintains user security and access. Provides technical support to end-users; coordinates technical support with vendors for installations, repair, and/or maintenance issues. Trains users on computers systems and programs. Prepares, maintains, updates, and reviews a variety of operational records and reports. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position does not require supervisory responsibilities.
