Title: Information Management Technical Lead Hiring Range: $99,200 - $117,000 Pay Band: 6 Agency: Dept of Med Assistance Svcs Location: Dept of Medical Asst Services Agency Website: www.dmas.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Information Management Technical Lead in the Information Management Division. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the Development Unit.

Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

The purpose of this position is to serve as a technical supervisor/lead for the DMAS Information Management Division with a focus on the Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Care Management Solution (CRMS) and the MES Encounter Processing Solution (EPS).

As the technical lead this position is responsible for managing multiple concurrent technical projects and providing direction to a technical team comprised of highly skilled software engineers.

This position is also responsible for coordination of testing and scheduling deployments.

This position is a primary liaison with business stakeholders and technical personnel from other MES modules including Provider Services Solution (PRSS), Integration Services Solution (ISS), Pharmacy Benefits Management Solution (PBMS) and Fiscal Agent Services (FAS) and Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).

Extensive work-related experience supervising, leading and mentoring a technical team of 12 (twelve) employees.

Extensive work-related experience leading systems projects.

Extensive work-related experience assigning work to developers and managing team resources for multiple concurrent projects.

Requires prioritizing and planning work to meet project deadlines.

Extensive work-related experience with data modeling.

Extensive work-related experience with data analysis, working with common databases such as Oracle.

Extensive work-related experience with data analysis and data mapping.

Extensive work-related experience with designing solutions based on requirements.

Extensive work-related Experience with testing and validating test results is required.

Requires communicating with both business stakeholders and technical resources. Preferred Qualifications: Competitive candidates should meet these preferred qualifications:

Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Management Information Systems, Computer Sciences, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related field or an equivalent level of experience.

Experience with writing and executing effective SQL statements.

Experience as a developer.

Experience with and ability to use common ETL tools.

Experience with Medicaid Enterprise Solutions including Member, Claims, Provider, Financial and Care Management.

Experience with X12 EDI transaction sets including 837, 835.

Experience with Managed Care Encounters.

Experience with Mongo DB.
