The Information Assurance Forensic Analyst investigates cybersecurity incidents, analyzes digital evidence, and provides insights to strengthen organizational defenses and compliance posture.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and breaches.
Analyze logs, system artifacts, and evidence to determine root causes.
Support incident response and recovery activities.
Document findings for regulatory reporting and compliance (PCI, CIP, GDPR, CJIS).
Provide recommendations to enhance detection and response capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong background in digital forensics and incident response.
Experience working with SIEM, forensic tools, and data analysis platforms.
Knowledge of PCI, CIP, GDPR, and CJIS compliance reporting.
Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
