Job Summary:



We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infection Control Staff Development Coordinator to join our team at the Center for Extended Care at Amherst. As a key member of our infection control team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing staff training programs focused on infection prevention and control practices. Your expertise will help ensure the highest level of care for our residents and staff, promoting a safe and healthy environment.

Responsibilities:



Develop and implement infection control training programs for all staff members, including orientation sessions, in-service training, and continuing education modules Conduct regular audits and monitoring of infection control practices to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions Collaborate with the Infection Preventionist to develop and update policies, procedures, and protocols related to infection control Provide guidance and support to staff on infection control best practices, including hand hygiene, personal protective equipment (PPE), and proper use of isolation precautions Develop and maintain records of staff training and competencies related to infection control Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce infections and promote a culture of safety and quality care

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in a related field (n/a) Minimum 0 years of experience in infection control and training (0 years) Strong knowledge of infection control principles, guidelines, and best practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
