Job Responsibilities

Manages a potential multi-shift operation located within Evans Correctional Institution (Bennettsville). Coordinates with contractor to ensure production requirements are met. Provides services in the most efficient and economical manner while supervising/teaching inmates skills that can be utilized upon their release. Select, train and evaluate personnel. Establish an effective quality control program with proper waste control. Maintains a work environment that is safe and healthy in accordance with state and OSHA requirements. Directs the attendance of 60+ inmate workers and prepares the necessary reports. Coordinates activities with the contractor, institutional personnel and industries. Schedule subject to change to meet the demands of the industry.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:

(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
