Industrial Service Technician
to provide reliable and professional maintenance and repair services for industrial lubrication and filtration systems. This position involves estimating, regular inspections, lubrication sampling, system maintenance, and fabrication of customized filtration and purification systems to meet specific customer needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to customer service, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Inspection & Maintenance
: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on customers' hydraulic power units (HPUs), gearboxes, and other industrial lubrication systems in accordance with customer specifications.
Lubricant Sampling & Analysis
: Collect and analyze lubricant samples from various systems, interpreting oil analysis results to recommend necessary maintenance and repairs.
System Fabrication
: Design, fabricate, and install lubrication, filtration, and oil purification systems tailored to customer specifications. Ensure systems are optimized for performance and reliability.
Customer Relations
: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, delivering exceptional service and ensuring their lubrication and filtration needs are met.
Equipment Instruction
: Provide on-site training for customers on the proper operation of equipment, both sold and rented.
Repair & Maintenance
: Maintain and repair company-owned filtration and purification equipment, including vacuum dehydrators and related systems.
Safety & Compliance
: Adhere to all company and customer safety policies and environmental regulations. Ensure all work complies with industry standards and best practices.
Technical Support
: Provide technical assistance to the sales team and customers regarding lubrication, filtration, and purification solutions. Offer troubleshooting and problem-solving support as needed.
Project Management
: Assist in the estimation and planning of lubrication system projects, including parts, equipment, and manpower requirements. Generate detailed proposals and work orders, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
Documentation
: Accurately complete work orders and maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
Other Duties
: Perform other tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success and operational efficiency of the organization.
Hand Tools
: Applicants must provide and maintain their own set of basic hand tools necessary to perform the duties of this position.

Mechanical Aptitude
: Strong understanding of industrial machinery, hydraulic systems, and lubrication best practices.
Experience
: Minimum of 2 years in mechanical trade school or equivalent hands-on experience in repair and maintenance (e.g., automotive technician, heavy equipment mechanic, etc.). Industry certifications and technical training are preferred.
Technical Skills
: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of CAD, general electrical, PLC, and control panel systems is an asset.
Physical Requirements
: Ability to lift and move up to 80 lbs. Comfortable working in all weather conditions and handling demanding physical tasks.
Customer Service
: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable of building strong customer relationships and effectively presenting technical information.
Problem Solving
: Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and solve technical issues.
Project Management
: Experience with project estimating, planning, and management. Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Teamwork & Independence
: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Training & Development
: Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on the latest lubrication, filtration, and purification technologies.
Education & Experience:
Education
: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional technical training or certifications in mechanical fields are preferred.
Work Experience
: A minimum of 2 years' experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, preferably in industrial or heavy-duty equipment. Experience in lubrication systems, filtration, and purification is highly desirable.
Additional Preferences:
Hands-on Experience
: Knowledge of hydraulic systems, welding, and electrical systems is beneficial.
Industry Knowledge
: Familiarity with machinery lubrication best practices, vacuum dehydration, and industrial filtration methods is preferred.
Certifications
: Relevant industry certifications or training in lubrication and filtration systems are a plus.

Type and frequency of personal contact required:

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This role involves periods of high pressure, fast-paced solution based mindset, and unexpected challenges. Applicants must be able to remain calm under pressure, adapt quickly to changing circumstances, and approach obstacles with a solution-oriented mindset.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Frequent talking and hearing is required. The employee will constantly be required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be required to climb, balance, kneel, crouch and crawl on duty. They must occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required such as close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. Employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions, fumes, as well as oil and lubricant products. The noise level is moderately loud when in the field.
The employee frequently works in an industrial environment near moving mechanical parts, and is occasionally exposed to wet, and/or humid conditions and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Work Schedule and Travel:
Regularly scheduled for 40-50 hours per week, 5-7 days per week / 8-12 hours per day; Frequent overtime is required. Flexible schedule is required based on the needs of the customers operational demands.
Employees will be required to provide services during non-traditional business hours to meet customer operational demands.
Weekly on the road travel to customer site is required.
