Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to various production parts, industrial equipment, structures, and components. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and familiarity with a range of painting techniques and tools. The Industrial Painter plays a vital part in ensuring the durability and aesthetic quality of our products, supporting overall manufacturing efficiency and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, or masking as needed Install specified nozzles in spray guns. Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray. Apply coatings using airless paint spraying, brushes, rollers, or other hand tools Select and mix coating liquid to produce desired color. Fills containers with prescribed quantities of paint and thinner. Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application and coverage Perform fabrication and assembly tasks related to painting projects Conduct vehicle body repairs or touch-ups when necessary Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols in manufacturing settings Collaborate with team members on projects involving machining, fabrication, or construction painting tasks Loads and moves materials to work area Clean and prepare surface of articles to be painted Apply masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated Rack work pieces on conveyor, and inspects, marks, and transfers finished pieces to stockroom or shipping areas Replace screens and filters Maintain work area clean Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent Other duties may be assigned.

Skills

Experience with industrial painting techniques including airless paint spraying and auto painting Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes and machining operations Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during application processes Strong understanding of construction painting standards and safety regulations
