Industrial Paint Prep/Painter

In this role you will be involved in the production of our custom, all-hand-made, very high-end (museum quality) display cases:

Preparing display case bases for paint/finish by priming, sanding, masking, and taping. Inspecting cases prior to applying paint/finish for defects and accuracy. Sanding and finishing materials using hand sanders Appling paint to parts or products within a controlled booth environment, ensuring quality and adherence to safety protocols Responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and spraying paints, and maintaining the spray equipment. Daily and weekly cleaning of the booth, paint storage and equipment. QC checks on all products prior to going into the paint booth.
Requirements:

Working in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Reading and understanding work orders (English), layouts and other project details. Reading/reviewing project information to ensure product is produced according to the customers' specifications. Performing quality checks according to established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards. Troubleshooting issues that may arise. Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area.
Experience/Skills required:

At least two years of experience in industrial painting (auto, equipment, etc.). Experience using paint, primer and light tools. Ability to use air/hand tools to prepare and paint/finish products with precision and detail. Good mechanical aptitude and skill. Ability to read measuring devices and calculate fractions. Read specifications and follow basic directions in English. Ability to lift and move 75 lbs. Produce work that is accurate and precise.
(after training) Work independently with minimal direction

Flexible - willing and able to perform a variety of duties.

Able to stand for an entire shift.

Training work hours (approx. 1 month): 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Regular work hours (after training): 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Work some over-time and Saturday's

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
