Position Overview

We're seeking a skilled

Industrial Maintenance Technician

to keep our fabrication machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other industrial equipment running safely and efficiently. This role is hands-on and critical to our production team's success. You'll perform both preventive maintenance and repairs--making sure our shop stays productive, safe, and on schedule.

This is a stand-alone role: you will be the primary maintenance expert at Jimco, responsible for independently managing all equipment maintenance needs.

What You'll Do

Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery (forklifts, drill lines, router tables, overhead cranes, hydraulics, and electrical systems). Perform

preventive maintenance

and safety checks on all shop equipment. Install new equipment and ensure proper setup. Read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics. Fabricate and fit parts as needed for repairs or upgrades. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate with production teams. Order and manage replacement parts and supplies. Support a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

What We're Looking For

Experience:

Previous work as an industrial maintenance technician or mechanic. Strong knowledge of

electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication systems.

Excellent troubleshooting skills with both heavy equipment and production machinery. Ability to lift and move heavy parts and tools. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or with a team. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to

. Strong organizational skills to manage

preventive maintenance scheduling, troubleshooting, and parts ordering

without daily oversight.

$30-$35 per hour (based on experience)
