Summit is seeking a full-time Industrial Hygiene Specialist physically located (ideally) in Denver, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, or Dallas-Fort Worth, and within 90 minutes of a major airport in one of these regions. Other areas may be considered. This position works remotely, with regular travel to Client sites.

This role offers a direct path toward CIH certification, ongoing mentorship from Certified Industrial Hygienists, and growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding consulting firm. We will provide training on instruments and report writing. A CIH will oversee your projects and will be helping with more technical phases of your projects including proposals, sampling plans, Client process/hazard reviews, chemical screening, and technical reports. You will work on full-cycle industrial hygiene projects including proposal development, creating sampling plans, reviewing Client processes and site hazards, executing sampling plans using IH instrumentation, coordinating directly with the laboratory, providing analysis of laboratory data, and developing technical reports.

Compensation:

Salary: $80,000.00 per year Bonuses: Performance bonuses may be provided Schedule: Typically 40-50 hours/week, Monday-Friday (uncommon for weekends) Travel: Approximately 1-2 trips per week, almost always single-day onsite visits.
This role will work remotely from home with travel to Client sites to perform industrial hygiene exposure assessments and perform occasional safety consulting (primarily audits). You will work closely with and be overseen by a Senior Industrial Hygienist or Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Perform exposure assessments across a range of chemical, particulate, and noise hazards Develop sampling plans and review Client hazards, processes, and exposure concerns Prepare technical reports for exposure assessments and safety audits Complete chain-of-custody documentation for laboratory samples and coordinate with laboratory staff Use industrial hygiene monitoring equipment, including calibration and field operation Draft proposals for new projects Visit Client sites in multiple States Coordinate with Senior Industrial Hygienists/Project Managers on onsite and remote tasks Attend onsite and remote Client meetings Conduct facility inspections and safety audits Perform quantitative respirator mask fit testing Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

At least 2 years of industrial hygiene experience Experience using industrial hygiene instrumentation (chemical, noise, or particulate). Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred. Willing and able to travel frequently (1-2 times per week) Strong writing capabilities (writing sample required prior to hiring)
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
