Job Summary

An electrician performs all types of electrical jobs throughout assigned locations or regions. Electrical work includes maintenance and installation of equipment and machinery used in production and manufacturing.

Job Responsibilities

Perform electrical work and repairs on industrial/mining equipment

Install, adjust, and maintain all electrical equipment, gauges, and instruments

Troubleshoot, evaluate, and coordinate electrical needs, repairs, and modifications

Ensure that manufacturer's standards of repair and maintenance are followed on all equipment

Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned

Maintain good housekeeping practices

Adhere to all

, OSHA, and MSHA rules and regulations at all times

Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds

Meet or exceed company safety standards

Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by management

Qualifications

5 years of electrical maintenance experience

3 years of experience in aggregate, cement, or heavy industrial operations preferred

Understanding of power distribution systems up to 4,160 volts

Experience with programmable logic controls (PLC) and digital drive systems

High school graduate; associate degree or equivalent in electrical maintenance preferred

Ability to read, write, and speak English

Bilingual a plus

Excellent communication and attention to detail

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and understand technical manuals, reports, and instructions

Capable of developing, reading, and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and structural sketches, blueprints, and diagrams

Strong math and mechanical aptitude

Electrical troubleshooting skills with motor control circuits and relay logic

Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team

Working Conditions

Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor conditions

Must wear protective equipment while at the worksite

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform all job functions including walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing, and operating controls

Heavy Work:

o Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally

o Exerting up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Regularly required to talk and hear to communicate effectively and ensure safety around heavy equipment
