Job Description

Under the guidance of the Inclusion Coordinator, the Inclusion Aide is responsible for assisting after school programs by providing reasonable accommodations to children with disabilities and special needs within group settings with enrichment and recreational activities. Duties include providing direction, guidance, and assistance to students; effectively managing and supporting social, emotional, and behavioral needs; monitoring behaviors and functional life skills; ensuring student safety and security; communicating with staff, teachers, site director, and program director to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment.

This is a part-time position for the 2025-2026 school year. Ability to commit to Monday- Friday, 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. (11:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on occasional early school dismissal days).

Some of the responsibilities include:

Assist children as they transition into and out of after-school programs. Provide supervision and support in the after-school setting so that students can fully participate in group class activities. Assists students by supervising, guiding, monitoring, and encouraging pro-social behaviors Model and manage positive behavior support approaches In conjunction with other team members, maintain a positive, inclusive environment for both children and adults at all times. Assist students during crafts, art projects, games, sports and all activities offered in the program to provide access Share in classroom responsibilities as assigned by site supervisor (activity planning, set up and break down and classroom maintenance/classroom cleaning) Provide proximity support to identified children at all times Maintain constant communication with supervisor, program staff and inclusion coordinator Maintain appropriate records, assist, and provide guidance to other staff in the implementation of behavioral interventions. Participate in weekly staff meetings and attend training opportunities Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Job Requirements



Associate Degree (Preferred related field Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Human Services, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, the Arts) Minimum of 2 years of practical experience as a behavior interventionist/counselor working with children with diverse needs. ABA or RBT cert preferred Citizenship, residency or work visa required All prospective staff will be required to undergo background checks and fingerprints

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, walk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to run, during play or responding to an emergency. Employees are frequently required to engage with children on the floor and at their eye level. Employees are frequently required to use their hands and arms to handle and manipulate objects as well as reach. Vision abilities are required for supervision of children.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

: The noise level in work environment is moderate to very loud. The work environment includes classroom and outdoor playgrounds and occasional field trips. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

SALARY

: starting at $27.00/hour

Pay: From $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 19 per week
