Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a provider of masonry and landscape products for the commercial and residential industries in Grand Rapids, who is actively looking to hire a qualified Inbound Logistics Associate to join the Operations team. This role will primarily focus on the day-to-day operations in scheduling inbound freight deliveries and assist with inventory purchasing and management. The ideal candidate will be experienced in logistics, organized, highly motivated, willing to learn, thrives in a team environment, and more.

Inbound Logistics Associate Responsibilities:

• Work with vendors including freight companies to schedule the delivery of goods to all yard locations, ensuring all ship dates are met effectively and efficiently.
• Research, select and manage carrier relationships, negotiating contracts and rates.
• Requires adaptability to rapidly changing priorities and potential fluctuations in schedules, providing detailed and prompt responses with appropriate solutions.
• Assist with managing inventory levels, placing purchase orders and assisting in physical inventory counts.
• Periodically service customers throughout the day.

Inbound Logistics Associate Qualifications:
To be considered for the Inbound Logistics Associate position, applicants should:

• Experience working in Logistics or Supply-Chain related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience using inventory management systems or ERP sales ordering systems, a plus.
• Effective communication skills, organized with attention to detail and follow-up.
