Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver/PCA to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and a strong understanding of the needs of clients with various health conditions, including Alzheimer's and dementia. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalized care and support.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Monitor and record vital signs, ensuring any changes in health status are communicated to appropriate personnel. Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans tailored to individual needs. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties. Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts. Observe and report any changes in client behavior or condition, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies for individuals with developmental disabilities or chronic illnesses.

Requirements

Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is advantageous. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs is essential. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism and developmental disorders. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring client safety during transfers or mobility assistance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. A genuine passion for caregiving and a commitment to providing high-quality support to clients in need.
