Duties
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Administer medication reminders and monitor health status as directed by healthcare professionals.
Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or social activities to ensure engagement and safety.
Observe and report any changes in health or behavior to family members or healthcare providers promptly.
Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all client needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, incidents, and client progress for accurate records.
Experience
Candidates should bring a strong foundation in providing in-home or community-based care, ideally with experience in diverse settings such as post-acute care or outpatient clinics. Experience working with elderly populations or individuals with chronic conditions is highly valued. Familiarity with medical-surgical procedures, geriatrics, or trauma center environments--particularly Level II trauma centers--is advantageous. Prior exposure to hospital medicine, emergency medicine, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or teaching hospital settings demonstrates adaptability and a broad understanding of healthcare practices. Additionally, candidates with OR (Operating Room) experience or sub-acute care background will find their skills highly relevant. Excellent communication skills, patience, reliability, and a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life are essential qualities for success in this role.
