Join Our Compassionate Team at First Light Home Care: In-Home Caregiver Needed

Are you looking to make a meaningful difference in someone's life? First Light Home Care is searching for a caring and dedicated in-home caregiver to assist a wonderful elderly lady in the comfort of her own home. This position is Monday through Friday, 4PM to 10PM.

Our client is a sweet soul who cherishes time with her grandkids, enjoys listening to gospel music, and loves to cook and bake alongside her caregivers. She values kindness, companionship, and maintaining a clean, welcoming home. She occasionally requires to be driven to and from family home so you must have a valid drivers license

Your primary role will be to support her evening routine by providing:

- Emotional support, reassurance, and encouragement--she needs someone who can be present and uplifting.

- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

- Incontinence care experience is helpful and appreciated.

- Medication reminders.

- Maintaining an overall observation of her health and well-being.

- Light housekeeping duties to help keep her home tidy and comfortable.

Skills



Proven experience in home care or community-based caregiving environments with familiarity in assisted living or nursing home settings. Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration protocols. Competence in handling specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and managing heavy lifting safely. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to follow detailed care plans meticulously while maintaining flexibility for changing needs. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Experience working with individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities is highly desirable. Skills in meal preparation that accommodate specific dietary requirements while promoting nutritional health. Familiarity with long-term care practices including social work principles that enhance client well-being. Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks reliably while prioritizing client safety at all times. Compassionate attitude combined with patience, empathy, and respect for diverse backgrounds and individual preferences.
