Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Purification of antibodies.

2. Maintaining Immunology commercial antibody and R&D lab reagent inventories and equipment.

3. Support commercial products by performing Production/QC of ELISA kits, lateral flow assays & antibodies.

4. Laboratory Maintenance: responsible for equipment monitoring, such as temperature taking, cleaning instruments and lab, etc.

5. Contribute to on-going research, planning and application development as needed.

6. Aseptic cell culture with mammalian cell lines; recovery, freezing, and propagation of cells.

-Immunochemistry experience with a BS/BA level degree

-2-4 years lab experience

-Must have ELISA experience

-Preferred experience in antibody purification

-Preferred understanding of microbiological organisms and toxins

-Ability to manage day to day operations in a GLP laboratory. Supervise the following tasks

-Maintain good GLP Lab notebooks

-Coordinate and prioritize daily work days of 2-4 Research Associates

-Review daily data generated in the lab

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelors preferably in Biology, Chemistry or a related science, from an accredited institution.

• Willingness to travel domestically (not more than 10%).

• Strong understanding of biological processes.

• Familiarity with Biological and Chemical safety protocols.

• Knowledge of biological applications and products.

• Familiar with sterile lab techniques and biomedical/scientific ethics.

• Ability to independently perform biotechnology based tasks and laboratory experimentation with minimal supervision using established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Self-starter, motivated and takes initiative; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff to resolve problems to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.

• Seek, learn, and apply new skills/knowledge to perform job responsibilities.

• Attentive to detail with a high level of accuracy; exercise sound judgment.

• Resourceful, diplomatic and professional; deliver outstanding customer service while managing relationships; a can-do attitude and work style that supports teamwork, collaboration and positive relationships.

• Position-relevant computer experience including Microsoft Office.

• Follow all company safety practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP\'s) and policies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience, working with antibodies, protein purification, and antibody based assays.
