Job Description

Position Summary:

One of the region's largest orthopedic and sports medicine providers, Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute's world-class team of orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine physicians specialize in conditions and injuries of the spine, hand, upper extremities, foot, ankle and lower extremities, as well as joint replacement, concussions, interventional pain management, bone health and orthopedic trauma. The institute's Downtown Complex brings the whole spectrum of orthopedic and spine care under one roof and includes an orthopedic specialty hospital featuring 75 private inpatient rooms, 10 advanced OR suites, and a research and innovation center with a bio skills lab and 3D printer. An adjacent medical pavilion houses a 63-exam-room outpatient clinic, imaging suite, physical therapy spaces and ambulatory surgery center. Position Overview




The

Imaging Assistant

observes and assists in various capacitiesto Orlando Health Imaging areas.

Schedule:

Per Diem
Responsibilities:
Transports stretcher and wheelchair patients in a safe, professional manner, following HIPPA and handoff compliance. Uses double identifiers on every patient per The Joint Commission regulations for patient safety. Orders and receives weekly radiology supplies. Picks up and delivers requisitions, specimens and other materials within the facility. Assist with stocking and cleaning of rooms, puts away supplies correctly. Reports faulty equipment, hazardous conditions and/or incidents to supervisor for follow up. Returns equipment to designated storage area, maintains transport equipment and cleans, deodorizes and disinfects equipment as needed. Maintains O2/suction supplies as required per facility. Utilizes all corporate radiology computer systems effectively and accurately. Delivers mail interdepartmentally as needed. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education/Training


High School graduate or equivalent is required.

Licensure/Certification

BLS/Healthcare Provider certification within 3 months of hire
