in our Olathe, KS location. In this role, you will be responsible for managing identity and access permissions within Active Directory and other IAM systems.
Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
Creates and updates procedural documents as well as trains users in the proper use of Identity Access Management (IAM) systems
Uses processes, tools, and skills to create, maintain, and deprovision user accounts, group permissions, and other security objects based on IT security policies and standards.
Assists IT in maintaining SOX, TISAX, NIST and PCI compliance through review and recommendations
Responsible for operations of security systems such as Active Directory Tools, Adaxes, and other account management systems
Demonstrates understanding of business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT-owned solutions
Communicates effectively in written and verbal form in cross-functional settings with business partners and customers
Identifies and resolves problems of basic scope using proper tools and techniques
Applies basic standards and procedures to accomplish tasks including learning how to use and apply applicable technologies
Thoroughly documents work in an organized manner
Communicates in written and verbal form effectively in a small-team setting
Understands Garmin's Mission Statement and Quality Policy
Performs basic administrative tasks by following defined procedures
Analyze existing systems and processes for improvements
Creates work instructions and knowledge articles
Ensure the security access is appropriate and necessary approvals have been obtained
Understands and enforces basic system controls
Assists in performing internal audits and adheres to compliance policies and procedures
Work with users to analyze/configure/tailor security and access levels to the IT owned applications
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technology related field
OR
2 years relevant experience
OR
an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Outstanding academics with the demonstrated ability to apply learned knowledge
Experience and/or training with enterprise IT systems
Demonstrated ability to learn basic technical concepts independently
Strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a small team setting
Must be detail-oriented and can work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision
Ability to prioritize and multi-task independently in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment
Desired Qualifications
Experience with Active Directory and Exchange in a hybrid environment
Experience with scripting and automation
Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and audit processes
Experience in successful implementation of technology solutions
