The

ID/DD House Manager

serves as the

first-line supervisor

responsible for the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring the health, safety, rights, and overall well-being of individuals receiving ID/DD Waiver services. The position provides direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs); ensures service delivery in accordance with DBHDS licensing regulations, DMAS/DD Waiver requirements, and agency policies; and maintains full compliance with all documentation, staffing, and person-centered service standards.




House Managers typically work

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

but must be available on an

on-call basis

(including weekends and holidays) to be available for house needs such as shift coverage, responding to escalated matters, etc.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:




Program & Service Delivery Oversight




Ensure all supports are delivered in accordance with the Individual Support Plan (ISP), provider-specific plans, Safety Plans, medical orders, and DD Waiver requirements. Ensure daily documentation is completed accurately, person-centered, and within required timelines. Monitor staff implementation of goals, protocols, behavior plans, risk mitigation strategies, and community integration activities. Ensure service delivery aligns with all DBHDS licensing regulations, HCBS requirements, and internal agency policies. Maintain readiness for DBHDS licensing reviews, QMR/DMAS utilization reviews, and internal audits.

Supervision & Staff Management




Serve as first-line supervisor for DSPs, providing coaching, oversight, and corrective guidance. Manage to ensure adequate staffing coverage, and approve timesheets. Ensure all DSPs maintain compliance trainings following up accordingly to ensure all staff are within compliance to work. Conduct performance evaluations, file reviews, and ongoing competency checks. Provide on-call support as needed and respond to emergent issues in the home.

Health, Safety & Medication Oversight




Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including infection control, medical appointment follow-up, and environmental safety. Oversee medication administration practices, MAR accuracy, and ensure staff compliance with delegated nursing requirements. Respond to incidents, complete incident reports, and ensure timely submission to internal QA. Ensure home cleanliness, organization, hazard-free environment, and proper food storage.

Individual Rights & Community Integration




Ensure individuals' rights, choices, autonomy, and dignity are upheld at all times. Ensure community activities are meaningful, documented, and aligned with person-centered planning. Collaborate with Support Coordinators, families, nurses, and clinical team members to address ISP changes or concerns.

Administrative & Operational Oversight




Maintain household budgets and receipts
documentation.
Oversee grocery inventory, personal supplies, and tracking systems. Ensure vehicles are maintained, clean, inspected, and documentation logs are accurate. Conduct weekly home walkthroughs and compliance checklists.



Required Qualifications:





Minimum of 2 years' experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. Minimum 1 year of supervisory or shift-lead experience in residential or community-based services. Strong knowledge of DBHDS licensing regulations, HCBS requirements, and DD Waiver service expectations. Ability to complete and maintain all state-required trainings (CPR/FA, behavior management, medication administration if required). Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Strong written documentation skills and proficiency with electronic health records. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed. Strong crisis management, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills. High school diploma or equivalent required.



Preferred Qualifications:




4+ years' experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities. 2+ years of supervisory or shift-lead experience in residential or community-based services. Associate or bachelor's degree in human services.
