Our ICU technicians are the cornerstone of our inpatient care, dedicated to delivering the highest standards of treatment and comfort to our patients. Here's how you'll be instrumental:

Patient Care and Monitoring:

Vital Signs: Monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and temperature. Medication Administration: Administer medications, fluids, and pain management with precision and care. Comfort and Hygiene: Provide comfort by adjusting bedding, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a stress-free environment.
Emergency Response:

Life-Saving Interventions: Perform CPR, administer oxygen, and stabilize critical patients in emergencies. Quick Thinking: Make split-second decisions that can be life-saving.
Collaboration with Veterinarians:

Teamwork: Work closely with veterinarians, following treatment plans and adjusting care as needed. Communication: Relay patient updates and observations to the veterinary team, facilitating informed decisions.
Emotional Support:

Pet Parents: Provide emotional support to worried pet parents over the phone during stressful times.
Treatments and Procedures:

Fluid Therapy: Administer intravenous fluids to maintain hydration and stabilize blood pressure. Blood and Plasma Transfusion: Prepare and administer blood or plasma transfusions to patients with anemia, bleeding disorders, or critical illness. Oxygen Supplementation: Administer supplemental oxygen to patients with respiratory distress or hypoxemia. Advanced Pain Management: Assess pain levels and implement appropriate pain relief strategies. Mechanical Ventilation: Assist patients with compromised respiratory function by providing mechanical ventilation. Diagnostic Testing: Perform routine diagnostic tests such as blood work and blood pressure readings Wound Management: Dress and care for wounds, including debridement and bandage changes. Emergency Interventions: Respond promptly to emergencies, stabilizing patients and initiating necessary treatments.
