Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Huntington, WV 25701

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) AND on call requirements of 1 weekend shift or 2 weekday shifts per 4-week schedule

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,268-2,646/week

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As an ICU RN, you will provide specialized care to critically ill patients and ensure their safety and well-being during their stay. This position offers flexibility in scheduling, self-scheduling shifts based on availability. The start date is immediate, and the contract\xe2\x80\x99s duration is 13 weeks with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients\' conditions in the ICU, including vital signs, lab results, and symptoms.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Monitor and interpret patients\' cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to any changes or abnormalities.
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized ICU equipment and technology.
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of West Virginia or Compact License.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or ICU settings required.
• Previous experience in a critical care role is required.
• Cerner experience is highly preferred.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
