HVAC Installer/Service Technician
Location: Effingham, IL and Central Illinois (travel required)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $25-$40 per hour (dependent on experience)
Merz Heating & Air Conditioning, a locally owned and operated HVAC company, is seeking experienced HVAC Installers/Service Technicians to join our team. The position will require traveling throughout Central Illinois (no more than 100 miles from Effingham) and will involve both residential and commercial services/installations, with a focus on repair and preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain HVAC systems, including heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, in both residential and commercial settings.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, diagnosing issues and finding solutions to restore functionality.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing recommendations and answering questions regarding their HVAC systems.
- Accurately complete paperwork and documentation related to work performed.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HVAC installation and service.
- Valid Driver\'s License.
- Ability to travel throughout Central Illinois as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document work performed.
