Compensation: $ 32,760.00 Annually. $15.75 Hourly. Salary may be dependent upon the candidate's qualifications and experience.

This position serves as a member of the Prevention and Protection Services (PPS) Family and Child Tracking System (FACTS) within the regional Support Services process. The position also requires a commitment to work effectively with all other PPS Units, Foster care Liaisons, Title IV-E, Contractors, and DCF Divisions in providing a harmonious work environment that is conducive to improving agency outcomes, office operations and a productive working relationship in the community. This position may be required to provide coverage in other service centers within the assigned region. This position is part of a service delivery team responsible to provide quality entry for Federal Funding and payments to contractors, while performing a variety of tasks to meet service needs of children in families where abuse or neglect is suspected or are at risk for abuse and neglect. This position also involves performing a variety of tasks and entry to ensure the service needs are being met for children who have been referred to family preservation, foster care, or adoption service. The incumbent is expected to demonstrate a commitment to customer service and will participate fully in team activities in support of the Agency mission. Maintain the FACTS System to ensure accurate information is documented in a timely manner. Data entered into this system demonstrates the activities meet Federal, State, the agency and statutory requirements and is used in making critical decisions impacting statewide programs pertaining to child safety.
This position requires considerable independent judgment and action. Employee exercises judgement in day-to-day work, operating with minimal supervision while understanding policy in different areas of the agency including but not limited to Child Protect Specialist (CPS), Independent Living (IL), foster care, Contractors, Protection Report Center (PRC), IV-E and others to enter correctly into the Federal Database with minimal to no errors. Employee will set their own priorities for daily activities determining the most appropriate.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Two years of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work.

Security Clearance:
A background check (KBI - criminal background, welfare fraud, driver's license and Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry) is required for all positions with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) as a condition of employment, which may include fingerprinting and FBI check. Security clearance must be obtained prior to employment with DCF. Must maintain security clearance throughout employment.
Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate:
A valid Kansas Tax Clearance Certificate is a condition of employment for all employees of the State of Kansas. Applicants (including non-residents) who receive a formal job offer for a state job, are required to obtain a valid Tax Clearance within ten (10) days of the job offer. A Tax Clearance can be obtained through the Kansas Department of Revenue who reviews individual accounts for compliance with Kansas Tax Law.
