The Opportunity

Sacramento Chemicals is where an Human Resources Specialist meets California employment law. Take your skills to the next level, while supporting our Site with HRIS Workday System, Payroll, Policy Interpretation, Employee Data Management, and support through the various corporate resources and tools. You will be responsible for supporting Site Human Resource Systems and Processes to ensure that the needs of the business and employees our met. Examples of systems and processes could include: recruiting, training and development, benefits and payroll administration, recognition, and employee engagement programs.

The Ideal Human Resources Process Owner will be able to:

  • Managing full cycle employee data and organization administration within Workday, including, but not limited to, transaction processing and support, HR program and compliance administration and answering employee and manager inquiries.
  • Responsible for all site payroll and HR systems, including but not limited to Unemployment, compensation changes, processing terminations, payroll entries, and maintaining various reports.
  • Training employees and executing through site systems, policies, processes in connection with our Union Agreement and California law.
  • Manage entire recruitment process, coordinate onsite interviews, schedule interviews and new hire onboarding.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity through transaction processing, system skills maintenance, and accurate on-time execution. Identify and recommend opportunities for continuous process improvement and simplification.
  • Collaborate with onsite Nurse to deliver processes of seamless execution of disability, FMLA/CFRA, and other benefits and/ or leaves of absence(s).
  • Participate in initiatives/projects in efforts to drive adoption of training and development programs to help drive inclusive culture, upskill capabilities and maintain system/process compliance.
  • Support site and influence healthy culture with project management and logistics coordination of onsite/offsite events, such as Quarterly/Yearly reviews, Employee Engagement Events, and other various Team building events.
  • Provide administrative support to HR Director for various employee and labor relations activities
  • Providing direction and coaching to employees/leaders, as well as ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Providing important coaching to individuals on company and site policies and have the opportunity to train others in these areas to drive compliance.
  • Support Projects include but not limited to the areas of: Equality & Inclusion, Organizational Culture, Training & Development, Manager-Employee & Team Relationship Building, Talent Management Reporting Data & Analysis, Job Aids, and Industry Benchmarking to drive maximum output, as well as overall satisfaction within the work environment.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Passionate in helping our employees perform at their peak.
  • Comfortable engaging with employees at all levels, possibly their families and external candidates.
  • Advance knowledge of HR signature systems, polices and processes.
  • Quickly become an expert in processing timelines for California employees.
  • Gain knowledge of Disability, FMLA, CFRA, and Parental Leaves, ect. in connection with California law.
  • Workday experience needed \xe2\x80\x93 advanced to expert knowledge a Plus
  • Ability coach/train site employees\xe2\x80\x99 knowledge and use company payroll systems to process payroll requests, escalations, Workday security access requests/outages, ect.
  • Administrative specialist with the ability to manage collaborative tools effectively. Provide support across the site and work closely with the HR Director to ensure that the site is operating at its peak by utilizing updated systems, policies, and processes.
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR or equivalent field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiar with HR Software Systems like Workday; strong Microsoft Office 365 Suite acumen, SharePoint creation/maintenance, and SAP knowledge is highly preferred.
  • PHR or SHRM certification is preferred.
  • A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Employment Law, Benefits & Corporate HR policies a plus.
  • A Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Dynamics, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
Starting Pay / Salary Range: $78,100 - $97,600 a year

Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
