Become a Human Resources (HR) Specialist with the CBP Hiring Center within the Office of Human Resources Management at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, located in one of these two locations: Indianapolis, IN or Bloomington, MN. You will be expected to live within the locality pay area of your location selection. This position is not remote. This is a Recent Graduate appointment in the Pathways Program: Eligibility: If you are a recent graduate of a college or university who has completed, within the previous two years, or by June 30, 2023, a qualifying associate, bachelors, masters, professional, doctoral, vocational, or technical degree or certificate from a qualifying educational institution you may qualify. Or, if you are a veteran who was unable to apply within two years of receiving your degree due to military service obligation but are within six years from the date on which the requirements for your degree/academic course of study were completed you also may qualify. Selected individuals are placed in a dynamic one-year development program in the excepted service designed to lead to a competitive civil service career in the Federal government. At the successful conclusion of this program, you may non-competitively be converted to a term (position lasting 1-4 years with an extension up to 120 days) or to a permanent position within the competitive service.
