Overview: Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department by maintaining personnel files and accurately recording and inputting data in a timely manner into employment records and databases. Ensures departments and associates receive support in all personnel actions.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.


Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation. Responsibilities:


  • Answer telephone and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.
  • Greet visitors and callers, handle their inquiries and direct them to the appropriate persons according to their needs.
  • Responsible for maintaining all Human Resources Department files. Handles general upkeep of all new, existing, and terminated Associate files.
  • Assist associates and applicants in completing paperwork for transfer/promotional opportunity and application tracking system.
  • Assist associates and applicants with on line information when needed.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policy and procedure as it relates to positions, postings, and application/selection process.
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of applicant, Associate and departmental information.
  • Coordinate correspondence and material by reading and routing incoming material, verify accuracy, and sort and code according to file system.
  • Perform the functions of a Notary Public.
  • Must follow all departmental and Resort policies and procedures.
  • Leads by setting a positive example to all associates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above Gaming property \xe2\x80\x93 Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED required, Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
TESTING Must score a minimum of 35 WPM, with an accuracy rating of 85% or better on the Keyboarding test and achieve a score of 70% or better within 20 minutes on the Excel test. Must take the required testing identified for this position.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a thorough understanding of Microsoft Office Suite. Previous knowledge in the use of an HRIS software system is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization.


REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


Essential physical abilities are walk or stand for 50% of assigned shift, must be able to sit for extended periods of time, bending stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling may be required throughout shift. Must be able to lift and maneuver at least forty (40) lbs.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.


The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor or other designated areas you may be subjected to tobacco smoke. Limited travel maybe required.


Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
