HR Manager - Be the Heart of Our People and Culture!
Are you a hands-on HR leader who thrives on building teams, shaping culture, and making a real impact? We're looking for an experienced HR Manager to champion our people, drive organizational excellence, and support our mission every step of the way.
In this role, you'll oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and safety initiatives-while serving as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees alike. Shoreline Fruit is based in beautiful Traverse City, Michigan and operates nearly 6,000 acres of cherry orchards right here in the state, growing and processing over 50 million pounds of Montmorency tart cherries each year. You will be joining a Team that cultivates, processes, markets, and sells the finest cherry and other premium fruit products in the world. We are a grower-owned company built from the dream of two families whose stories of success are filled with pride and hard work.
What You'll Do

• Partner with the CEO and management team to align HR strategy with business goals.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and engagement initiatives to attract and retain top talent.
• Manage payroll, benefits administration, and HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Oversee employee training and certification programs, maintaining all related records.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance, and policy interpretation.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal employment regulations.
• Drive safety and professional development initiatives that support a strong, people-first culture.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-8 years of HR generalist/manager experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, benefits, and payroll (Paychex experience a plus).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
