JOB SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager administers Human Resources programs for a plant or Corporate Division. Ensures the organization\'s current and future HR requirements are met. Liaise with area managers to develop and implement HR strategies that are appropriate for their business needs and consistent with the organization\'s overall HR strategy. Effectively administers programs in accordance with established policies and procedures including EEO and ADA compliance. The HR Manager will deliver commitments by bridging functional and operational needs at the site as well as partnering with the cross-functional HR community. May be responsible for OSHA compliance and employee safety; may supervise HR support staff. This role is on-site at our facility in Grantsville, UT ( 30 minutes from Salt Lake City).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Jabil\xe2\x80\x99s operating model by providing strong business partnership to site and functional leaders
Determines and recommends employee relation practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale
Monitors and implements HR policies and objectives
Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the Human Resources function (i.e. OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage & Hour). Monitors exposure of the company. Directs the participation of information requested or required for compliance.
Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and government laws and regulations; Approves recommendations for terminations
Defines and executes all Human Resources programs. Provides necessary education and materials to line management and employees \xe2\x80\x93 workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, standardized reports
Monitors recruitment and onboarding process; Ensures vacancies are filled in a timely manner and that employees are onboarded in a compliant manner; Provides for a positive new hire experience
Keeps managers informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately at the functional management level
Demonstrates a commitment to customer service; anticipates, meets, and exceeds expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority
Exchanges knowledge and information with other facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the organization
Acts as primary contact with labor counsel and outside government agencies
Adheres to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor
Complies and follows all procedures within the company security policy
May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Takes initiative, fosters innovation, drives for results, communicates effectively, builds relationships at all levels, and has proven HR experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture of a multi-national company
Knowledge of employment laws
Project management, business acumen and Finance skills
Distribution center, Warehouse or Manufacturing experience strongly desired
Comfortable working in an environment with tight deadlines and significant level of ambiguity
Ability to absorb and process disparate information and synthesize into recommendations and actions
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Strong proficiency in determining requirements to enable company\xe2\x80\x99s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets
Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in related field required, Master\xe2\x80\x99s preferred
Nine years of relevant progressive HR experience
Human Resources Management Certificate and/or PHR/SPHR desired
