This is a dynamic role for someone passionate about team development, HR compliance, and multi-state leadership. You'll work from our

Denver Headquarters

with

regular travel to California

to support local HR staff, implement company-wide initiatives, and ensure exceptional employee experiences across regions.

Job Purpose:





The

Human Resources Manager

is responsible for overseeing and supporting all HR functions for our

California-based teams

while working from our

Denver HQ

. This individual will collaborate closely with the Vice President of HR to implement policies, build HR processes, and coach local HR staff. The position is vital in helping us scale operations and maintain an employee-first culture across multiple states.

Key Responsibilities:




Serve as a liaison between corporate HR and California field operations Partner with California HR representatives to ensure consistency and compliance with state-specific labor laws Coach and support HR team members on performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and retention strategies Conduct investigations and resolve employee relations issues across California teams Help implement new HR policies and ensure local teams are aligned with organizational goals Support benefit enrollment, leave management, and workers' compensation coordination Maintain accurate HR records and ensure legal compliance in personnel documentation Travel to California markets for onsite support, training, and team development Collaborate with hiring managers and Talent Acquisition to forecast staffing needs Assist in payroll processing and auditing when needed Represent Lifetime culture and core values in all HR interactions

Qualifications:




5+ years of progressive HR experience, including multi-state HR leadership Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of

California labor laws and compliance requirements

Proven success in coaching and leading HR teams Ability to travel to California markets 1-2 times monthly Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Tech-savvy with HRIS and payroll platforms (UKG experience a plus) PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred

Physical Requirements:




Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Ability to travel by plane and car as required Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds during travel or event support
