Summary:
This is an ideal role for an HR Manager with a small to mid-sized company who is looking for an entry into a more corporate environment but still enjoys the people-aspect of HR in a multi-site environment. This role has tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth.
The Human Resources Manager provides leadership and support to all levels of the Safe Fleet organization. This important role is responsible for providing a full range of HR services, including but not limited to: employee relations, performance management, policy implementation, employment law compliance, onboarding, benefits administration, payroll and safety compliance.
This hands-on position requires an individual who will display a high level of professionalism, confidentiality and discretion. This role is critical to executing the Company's people initiatives and providing excellent internal customer support.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Partnering with managers and employees to resolve employee relations issues and provide coaching and counseling
Develop, champion and deliver Safe Fleet training content for Leaders and Employees at all levels
Timely and accurate HRIS data input, including: system maintenance, new hires, terminations, benefits, payroll deductions, garnishments, and changes. Serve as back up for payroll processing in ADP Work Force Now
Manage all aspects of benefits administration and employee leaves
Manage the onboarding process for new and temporary employees
Manage Workers' Compensation, OSHA Logs and Safety initiatives
Assure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws and regulations
Support recruitment tracking and organization of all recruitment reporting and manage external and internal job postings
Create and distribute candidate correspondence including interview schedules, candidate references, new hire paperwork, reference checks, offer letters, and orientation confirmation
Manage and complete the total candidate experience form interviewing to onboarding, orientation and beyond.
Maintain Safety manual, safety training, and recordkeeping while ensuring compliance to OSHA regulations
Perform a variety of other administrative functions as assigned
Technical Skills/Abilities:
Human Resources experience should include familiarity with and experience in training, recruitment, employee relations, and employee communications
Comprehensive knowledge of administrative procedures to include maintenance and management of personnel files. Working knowledge of employment laws to include but not limited to record retention, Title VII, ADA, FLSA, FMLA
Must possess knowledge of Human Resources laws and applications
Experience with employee relations/coaching and performance management
Experience with accident investigations, OSHA Compliance, and Safety programs
Experience in HRIS/Payroll/ATS systems required
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suit
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources OR equivalent education and experience is required. HR certification highly desired
Required Experience
5 to 7 years Human Resources or HR Coordinator experience in a manufacturing environment
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks and ability to alter focus quickly as daily demands change
Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong aptitude in problem solving.
