Human Resources Coordinator - Leave

Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Leave Coordinator oversees leave of absence cases which includes FMLA, LOA, ADA, USSERA, bereavement, and workers\' compensation claims. The Leave Coordinator is the point of contact for employees related to leave and administers processes and documentation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. This position also manages benefits for life status changes and all claims and cases related to worker\xe2\x80\x99s compensation. What You Will Contribute
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for the leave of absence cases and workers\' compensation claims.
  • Interprets and administers leave programs and policies in accordance with Company policies the applicable federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.).
  • Coordinates administrative aspects of leave and workers\' compensation claims to include utilizing HRIS to track hours, communication with employees, certification, etc. to ensure accuracy of employees compensation.
  • Processes benefit EOIs and life status changes.
  • Builds and maintains collaborative working relationships with employees and managers.
  • Cross trains on Recruitment, Onboarding, and Employee Relations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What It Takes to Succeed
  • Associate\'s degree in business or a related field and 5 years\' experience in leave management or HR generalist experience or Bachelor\'s degree in business or a related field with 2 years\' of leave management or HR generalist experience, is required.
  • Experiences with Leave of absence administration, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and leave related federal and state laws (FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, etc.), is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability and desire to build and maintain collaborative and professional working relationships.
  • Flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
  • Strong time-management to meet deadlines and ability to handle a variety of tasks.
  • Demonstrates analytical reasoning, critical thinking, creative problem-solving skills and continually improve processes.
