We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist who will play a vital role in driving HR operations and creating a seamless, positive experience for our team members across the organization. This role provides functional support across key HR areas including hiring, interviewing, onboarding, HRIS, records management, training coordination, engagement, benefits, and leave, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is organized, service-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a people-centric environment. You'll report to the Director of Human Resources and serve as a trusted resource for all KMS team members, helping KMS continue to build a culture of excellence, respect, and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and document employee compliance with required and optional training, certifications, and continuing education such as safety, anti-harassment, and professional development programs.
Partner with hiring managers to recruit, interview, and select qualified candidates, ensuring alignment between role requirements and candidate skills.
Coordinate and complete background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
Lead new hire orientation and support employee engagement and recognition programs.
Support day-to-day HR operations, including benefits and leave administration, compensation and performance management, employee relations, and training and development.
Respond to questions from employees and managers on HR policies and processes, escalating more complex issues when needed.
Participate in employee relations matters such as investigations, corrective actions, and exit processes.
Ensure HR practices remain compliant with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Stay current on HR trends, best practices, and changes in employment law to continuously improve HR processes and programs.
Contribute to HR projects and perform other related duties as needed to support the team.
Qualifications/Skills
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
At least 2 years of human resource management experience preferred.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Schedule and Work Environment
Monday-Friday flex schedule, requiring three in-office days each week -- with Tuesdays and Thursdays as mandatory onsite days, and one additional day of the team member's choosing.
Must be able to work in an office environment; some walking or lifting (up to 25 lbs.) may be required for event or meeting support.
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
