Job Description



Blackwood is looking to hire an HR Generalist who will help support day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced, growing environment. This role is ideal for someone early in their HR career who enjoys being hands-on, organized, and eager to learn.

You'll work closely with HR leadership to ensure core HR processes are executed accurately and on time, while helping create a positive employee experience as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Offboarding

Support new hire onboarding from offer acceptance through first week completion Prepare and distribute onboarding documents and ensure completion of required forms Schedule onboarding sessions, orientation meetings, and first-day logistics Assist with employee offboarding, including documentation, system access coordination, and exit surveys

Recruiting & Hiring Support

Post job openings and manage candidate pipelines in the ATS Coordinate interview scheduling and candidate communication Assist with resume screening and interview preparation Generate and send offer letters and employment documents under HR leadership guidance

HR Administration & Documentation

Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS systems Maintain HR trackers, templates, and internal HR documentation

Benefits Support

Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment, and life-event changes Support benefits onboarding and offboarding activities Help coordinate open enrollment communications and follow-ups Partner with benefits providers to resolve basic employee issues

Employee Support & Communication

Serve as an initial point of contact for routine HR questions Draft and distribute HR emails and internal announcements Direct employees to appropriate resources, policies, or HR leadership when needed Support employee engagement activities and HR-led initiatives

Compliance & Process Support

Assist with maintaining compliance documentation and policy acknowledgments Help ensure HR processes are followed consistently across the organization

Basic Qualifications



1+ years of HR, People Operations, or HR Coordinator experience Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing environment Professional written and verbal communication skills Comfort working with HRIS, ATS, and basic reporting tools US Citizen * Bachelor's Degree
