The Human Resources Director will lead the HR functions at our Skilled Nursing Facility, that prides itself on compassionate care and a positive work environment. The HR Director will play a key role in supporting our team members, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of professionalism, respect, and teamwork.
This position is ideal for an HR professional with experience in healthcare--particularly long-term or post-acute care--who thrives in a mission-driven setting. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of SNF regulations, employment law, and the unique challenges of staffing and compliance in skilled nursing.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance.
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as SNF-specific regulations (Title 22, CMS, OSHA, etc.).
Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant employee files and documentation.
Support department leaders with performance management, investigations, and staff development.
Administer benefits, workers' compensation, and leave of absence programs.
Coordinate payroll processes and maintain accurate timekeeping and compensation records.
Lead HR-related audits, inspections, and reporting requirements.
Promote employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 3-5 years of HR management experience in a healthcare setting; Skilled Nursing Facility experience strongly preferred.
In-depth knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and SNF regulatory standards.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred but not required.
