Based in Sacramento, BoaVida is a property management company supporting over 250 Manufactured Home and RV Communities nationwide. We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead HR consulting, compliance, and payroll services for more than 500 employees across our client companies. This is a full-time, in-person role based in Sacramento, reporting directly to the CEO.

Compensation



Compensation is based on experience and is negotiable. The ideal range for a candidate with the experience and caliber required for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 annually.

Key Responsibilities



Serve as a key HR leader and liaison within the organization and for client companies, ensuring consistent HR practices, communication, and alignment across all entities.

Directly lead and manage a team of 3-5 HR professionals, fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration.

Oversee wage and hour compliance, ensuring policies and practices meet federal and state labor laws.

Direct workers' compensation strategy, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and alignment with internal processes.

Collaborate with Facilities and IT to implement ergonomic and workplace safety solutions.

Develop, implement, and maintain policies and standard operating procedures related to ADA, leaves of absence, and workers' compensation.

Monitor legal and regulatory changes and update HR practices and employee communications accordingly.

Coach employees, supervisors, and leaders of client companies on employee relations and performance management best practices.

Serve as an escalation point for complex or sensitive employee relations cases, including accommodations or injury claims.

Partner with leadership to resolve concerns, support investigations, and ensure consistent application of policies.

Maintain accurate HR documentation to support compliance and organizational integrity.

Identify opportunities to improve HR operations, streamline processes, and enhance service delivery.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Expert knowledge of employee relations, ADA, FMLA, wage and hour compliance, and other employment-related laws and regulations.

Strong understanding of HR compliance and leave administration best practices.

Ability to manage sensitive and complex employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.

Proven leadership ability to build, manage, and develop high-performing teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.

Ability to operate independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing demands effectively.

Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

High level of integrity, discretion, and emotional intelligence.

Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence and build trust across all levels of the organization.

Education and Experience



A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent relevant work experience will be considered in place of a degree.
HR certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
